Carrie Underwood Performs ‘Heartbeat’ on ‘The X Factor’ UK

Carrie Underwood made her way across the pond to perform her new single, “Heartbeat,” on the UK version of The X Factor this weekend.

The superstar performed during Sunday night’s results show. Co-host Caroline Flack mentioned that Underwood had watched the previous night’s performances and admitted that she had “a couple that are a little more favorite than the others” but didn’t want to hurt feelings by revealing names.

Underwood, who won American Idol in 2005, had some advice for the budding stars. “Every time you’re on stage, act like it’s your last time.” She also advised, “try not to be nervous, although it’s almost impossible.”

Although she made her name through Idol, she had a familiar, but nerve-wracking face in the audience… judge Simon Cowell. “It’s been awhile. It’s still intimidating,” she admitted, after performing in front of her former mentor.

Carrie will make her way back to London, as well as Dublin and Glasgow, in March to headline the C2C – Country to Country Music Festival, alongside Miranda Lambert and Eric Church.
