Country superstar Carrie Underwood has a lot on her plate. In between preparations to release her most personal album to date, Cry Pretty, and readying a massive world tour, the singer is also pregnant with her second child.

Having an extra little one to care for is something the Oklahoma native is mentally preparing for, though she understands that having kids sometimes means that plans go out the window.

“It’s going to be a different ball game, for sure,” she told The Tennessean. “My brain, I’m such a planner. I want to know how it’s all going to go. But no matter who you are, you make it happen, you make it work, you get your team behind you.”

No matter what happens, though, Underwood is sure that her three-year-old son Isaiah is bound to be an excellent helper with his little brother or sister.

“I think he’ll be a really good big brother,” she said. “I think he’ll be helpful.”

The “Cry Pretty” singer and her husband, former Nashville Predator Mike Fisher, were excited and nervous upon welcoming Isaiah in 2015. Both with heavy schedules, the couple navigated their way between balancing work and home.

“I remember when we first found out we were gonna have him it [was] like, ‘How are we gonna do this? Our lives are so crazy as it is,’” said Underwood at the time.

“But you just make room and you learn how important that family time is, and to be able to spend time and carve out some of that and maybe get to go on vacation and maybe get to go on a cruise — that stuff is so important to, like I said, make time for family,” she added. “That’s what it’s all about.”

Underwood revealed that her family was growing during a video post to Instagram. Upon sharing news about her Cry Pretty Tour 360, the singer revealed that it wouldn’t kick off until May because of her pregnancy.

“Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,” she shared as the camera panned out revealing balloons that read “baby.”

Underwood’s latest release, Cry Pretty, is out September 14.
