Carrie Underwood Leads American Music Awards’ Country Nominees

The 2016 American Music Awards will broad cast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8:00pm ET on ABC.

Carrie Underwood is representing all of country music as an Artist of the Year nominee for the upcoming 2016 American Music Awards. ABC announced the nominees today, revealing that Underwood is vying for the night’s top honor along with some of music’s biggest names, including Adele, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Twenty One Pilots and others.

Along with her nomination in the all-genre category, Underwood is also the top nominated country artist with three nods. Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line follow with two.

Nominees for Artist of the Year will be narrowed down from ten to five based on votes received through Monday, Nov. 14 at 8:59:59am PT. Voting on the final winner will close on Thursday, Nov. 17 with the total votes through the entire voting period being tallied. Fans can vote for their favorite artists one time per day, per platform by visiting AMAvote.com or by posting a tweet on Twitter including the nominee’s Twitter handle, the category name and #AMAs.
