Congratulations, Carrie Underwood!

The superstar has notched her 23rd No.1 single, and 13th as a songwriter, for her latest hit, “Heartbeat.” The track hit the top spot on both the Billboard and Mediabase country airplay charts, while also sitting atop the Canada Mediabase country airplay chart for the third consecutive week.

“Heartbeat” was written by Underwood, Zach Crowell and Ashley Gorley and appears on her chart-topping album, Storyteller.

“I really don’t do a whole lot of love songs. Either, I have to really believe them, or it has to really be my story,” the Oklahoma native said of the song when shooting her music video. “In my relationship with my husband, Mike, we’re both so busy, always going places and being at events, and dressing up for some reason, other than like a date night. It’s a good reminder for me. Sometimes you just have to make things simpler and just escape all the noise. There’s definitely a lot of us in there.”

Underwood recently wrapped the international dates from her Storyteller Tour this past weekend. The tour will resume stateside on March 17 at the Covelli Centre in Youngtown, OH.
