In one of her more intimate concerts (a rousing 7,000), Carrie Underwood dazzled fans in Atlantic City when she took the stage at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena. Marking the first artist to perform in the new arena, the singer brought her biggest and best hits out for the sold-out crowd.

Kicking off the show with the high-impact “Church Bells,” “Undo It” and “Cowboy Cassanova,” the singer showcased exactly why she’s one of music’s most powerful voices.

The Oklahoma native felt right at home on stage, and quickly bantered with the audience, revealing a behind-the-scenes snafu from before the show. While readying for her trip, her luggage was lost in transit. Thankfully, her stylist was on hand to get in some last-minute shopping ahead of showtime.

“My wonderful wardrobe stylist that goes on tour with me, was out scouring the city yesterday and today I guess, finding things for me to wear. So, all of what I am wearing this lovely evening can be found from local retailers in Atlantic City. These ‘good-buy shoes’ were $15 bucks from Charlotte Russe. I think I actually like this outfit way better than what I was going to wear in the first please. So it is a win-win,” she shared.

After chatting with the crowd, Underwood went on to sing many more of her greatest hits, including “Jesus Take The Wheel,” “So Small,” “All-American Girl,” among many others. Her nearly two-hour set wasn’t complete, however, without a nod to her upcoming album, with the title track single currently out at radio.

“We’ve been working on new music. I am done with my next album, Cry Pretty. It was really tough to finally say, ‘Okay, we’re done,’ because this time was my first time at producing myself as well, which is a completely other experience, very amazing, but it involved a lot of time. It was just such a great experience.”

The concert was extra special for the superstar as her husband, Mike Fisher, and son, Isaiah, were watching from the audience. The night marked the three-year-old’s first-time seeing his mom as a headliner, having seen her once before to sing the National Anthem at a Nashville Predators playoff game.

While Underwood kicked off the concert series at the new Hard Rock Live, the venue will keep the country concerts coming with more shows including Kellie Pickler on July 6th, Rascal Flatts with Dan + Shay on July 26th, Florida Georgia Line on July 13th& 14th, Blake Shelton on August 18th, Toby Keith on August 26th, and Kid Rock on October 19th & 20th.
