Could Carrie Underwood fans be receiving new music in 2018? It’s possible, according to a photo posted by the country superstar.

Wednesday morning (4/3), the “Church Bells” singer took to Instagram to share a black and white photo of herself sitting at a soundboard, presumably working on new music. The photo was posted caption-less, allowing the setting to speak for itself.

If she is in fact working on new music, it would be the first full-length project since 2015’s Storyteller. The record launched a yearlong worldwide tour, taking the Oklahoma native far beyond the reaches of the United States and into Europe. The album also earned four No.1 singles with “Smoke Break,” “Heartbeat,” “Church Bells,” and “Dirty Laundry.”

Most recently, she released a Super Bowl anthem, “The Champion,” featuring Ludacris. The football-inspired video for the uplifting track debuted ahead of NBC’s Super Bowl LII on February 4.

The photo also marks the first time Underwood has posted a photo since a fall just days after hosting the CMA Awards in November. She revealed in a lengthy post that including a broken wrist, she also needed “between 40 and 50 stitches” for an injury to her face.

“It’s crazy how a freak random accident can change your life,” she wrote.

No word yet on when Underwood will debut her new music, but here’s hoping it’s soon. She’s also scheduled to make several appearances throughout the summer for headlining festival dates.
