Although 2016 was known as being quite an off year for many, Carrie Underwood made it her own by keeping busy on the road and in the studio. But this time around, she plans to have a low-key start to 2017 and just enjoy the company around her.

While stopping by the 2017 Golden Globes Awards to be a presenter for the music categories at the show, she chatted with E! News correspondent (and former American Idol host), Ryan Seacrest, about what she has in store for 2017. Explaining to him that she’s in limbo about what’s next, she did have a few menial tasks she’d like the check off the list rather soon based on her recent hectic schedule.

“I think I’m going to enjoy a little time with my family and then just start writing maybe, and seeing what I’m ready to do. I don’t know. There’s no real plans,” she admitted to Seacrest.

Looking absolutely ravishing in her sweet pink floor-length gown for the ceremony, Underwood also had to add in the fact that she’s not the best at staying in one place and that she always finds stuff to do, even if it involves the mundane chores around the house.

“There’s always stuff to do. I feel like my house is a wreck, so I’m like I’ve got to get this in order. Like being home off the road, every time we go home for little, short, 24 or 48 hour-stints, it’s like I just drop stuff off and leave again. And now I’m just trying to make sense of life,” she said.

The country singer also dished about her spontaneous skydiving adventure and told Seacrest that she’s in the midst of persuading her hockey player husband, Mike Fisher, to give the dare a go with her.

Underwood may have her at-home plans settled, but her current radio single, “Dirty Laundry,” is currently climbing up the charts. Fans can add the song to their streaming playlists to hear a listen of the feisty tune.
