Carrie Underwood Reveals Her Christmas Shopping Plans
The country superstar opens up about her holiday plans as she prepares to embark on a tour of Australia and New Zealand with Keith Urban.
December has finally come upon us and for a busy bee like Carrie Underwood, the holidays just add to the list of things that need to get done by the end of the year.
The country superstar is headed to New Zealand and Australia for the month ahead to join fellow country artist Keith Urban for a little concert fun down under. While Underwood admits that they first were going to the countries separately, they decided to team up to make one epic lineup for the nine performance dates scheduled.
“It was one of those things where it was like ok you know we were gonna go and then we found out he was gonna go and we were singing together, doing ‘The Fighter’ and stuff like that,” Underwood revealed to Sounds Like Nashville exclusively. “It was like, ‘Why don’t we go together?”
Because the “Dirty Laundry” singer will be spending an ample amount of time rehearsing for the Australian leg as well as performing night after night, it’ll be a tough one for her to squeeze in a bit of Christmas shopping before December 25 rolls around. Thankfully, Underwood thought of a solution to the madness as head shopper of the family.
“It’s gonna look like a lot of Amazon boxes at my house, I think! I was telling my husband, I was like, ‘We need to start thinking about this now,’” she admitted with a laugh.
Underwood will be traveling over to Australia and New Zealand to begin the tour leg on December 3 in Wellington, New Zealand.
