Carrie Underwood, Sam Hunt Added to GRAMMY Awards Lineup

The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards just got a whole lot bigger!

According to a promo that aired on CBS during the Patriots vs. Broncos game on Sunday (1/24), Carrie Underwood and Sam Hunt are slated to perform during the star-studded show. Hunt provides background vocals to Underwood’s latest single, “Heartbeat,” but there has been no confirmation on whether the two will perform together on the show.

Previously announced performers include Little Big Town, Adele, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber and Pitbull. A tribute to Lionel Richie is also scheduled.

Underwood is currently nominated for Best Country Solo Performance for her song “Little Toy Guns.” Hunt is nominated for two GRAMMYs – the all-genre New Artist of the Year and Best Country Album for Montevallo.

Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

For the first time ever, The GRAMMYs will also air live nationwide.  “We’ve discussed this with CBS for years, but a variety of factors came together this year, and we collectively agreed that we had the perfect opportunity to try a new model and see how viewers respond,” Recording Academy and GRAMMY Foundation president Neil Portnow told Billboard. “I’m very pleased to share that, for the first time, west coast TV viewers will be able to watch the GRAMMY Awards live.”

The 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be hosted by LL Cool J and held on Monday, Feb. 15 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. The show will broadcast live on CBS from 8 – 11:30 p.m. EST (5 to 8:30 p.m. PST and 6p.m.-9:30 p.m. MST).
