Carrie Underwood Says Isaiah’s First Birthday Party ‘Won’t Be Anything Fancy’

Carrie Underwood’s son, Isaiah, is about to hit a big milestone…

On February 27, Isaiah Michael will turn one, and the proud mom couldn’t be more excited to celebrate.

While on the red carpet at the GRAMMYs on Monday, the superstar dished on planning his first birthday party. Although they plan to keep it simple, his party will include all of the important people in the Fisher family’s life.

“A little party, just family and friends, people that are staples in his life — it won’t be anything fancy,” Underwood told Entertainment Tonight. “I’m like, what do you get a 1-year old for a present? I have no idea so I’ve been on, like, Amazon trying to find presents for him.”

“I’m gonna have to just go to the store and look,” the “Heartbeat” singer added. “People are like, ‘What is he into?’ I’m like, ‘I don’t know, he’s one!'”

Isaiah has been joining mom on the road since she launched her Storyteller tour, and he’s adjusting to life on the road quite well.

“He’s doing really well. I mean, his world is kinda whatever we make it, right?” she noted. “So, we’ve always tried to keep everything loosey goosey, and he has a schedule, but it’s not crazy ’cause we’re in different time zones and we’re in different hotel rooms and on the bus or back at home or whatever, so we kinda try to keep some consistency, but just trying to make him roll with it, and so far, so good.”

Underwood’s Storyteller Tour is currently making its way up the East Coast, with upcoming stops in Hampton, VA, Philadelphia, PA, and Boston, MA.
