Carrie Underwood Takes Home CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year

Carrie Underwood’s night is being made with a win for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 50th Annual CMA Awards.

Underwood is rocking her music career with the recent release of her current album, Storyteller, and her sell-out arena tour.

“Glory to God, thank you Jesus. Too many people to thank. My family, Mike, I love you. Isaiah, you are my heart,” Underwood said. “I can’t believe that I’m standing in front of some of the most incredible legends that have ever been a part of country music. You guys are amazing. I’ve just become suddenly stupid.  I just love you all. God bless you, guys.”

This marks Underwood’s sixth career CMA Award and her first win in the category since 2008.

Other Female Vocalist of the Year nominees included Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda LambertMaren Morris, and Kacey Musgraves.
