After suffering from a broken bone following a fall at her house, Carrie Underwood is letting fans know that she’s on the road to recovery and she feels grateful for the outpouring support so far.

On Friday night (11/10), Underwood took a tumble outside of her home on some hard steps as reported by The Tennessean and broke her wrist in the process. Although she also suffered from minor cuts and lacerations as well, the singer let her fans know that she was getting better one step at a time.

“Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody…I’ll be alright…might just take some time…glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me,” Underwood wrote on Twitter to her fans.

At this moment, she will take some relaxing time off to recover with her husband, Mike Fisher, by her side as he flew in quickly after her injury. She even decided to sit it out for the recent Country Rising concert held in Nashville to give herself all the rest she needs.

“Her recovery will take some time and she appreciates all prayers and well wishes,” Underwood’s rep said recently.

Although the Oklahoma native ended up not participating in the charitable concert, she recently knocked the crowd’s socks off at the 51st Annual CMA Awards with an uplifting tribute dedicated to the Las Vegas victims. Singing a gorgeous rendition of “Softly and Tenderly,” Underwood honored those who were lost in the country music community as well as the innocent lives taken away from that horrific tragedy back in October.

Underwood has no plans at the time to release new music or head out on tour at this time, but fans can keep up with her recovery via social media.
