Marching well onto the road to recovery, Carrie Underwood continues to get the care she needs while she recuperates from her injury.

Over the weekend, Underwood fell on some hard steps outside of her Nashville home and broke her wrist. The singer also suffered from a few cuts and lacerations from the tumble, as confirmed by a statement from her camp. Throughout rallying back to normal speed, Underwood has been updating fans on her status and went to social media to let them know she went under the knife to repair her wrist in full.

“I just wanted let everyone know that I’m doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well…even though I’ll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on…I’m so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who’ve been taking such great care of me,” Underwood tweeted to her almost eight million followers.

The Oklahoma native has a lot of people to lean on in her recovery process, as her husband immediately flew home following the fall to help out around the house. Thanking fans for their love as well, Underwood seems to be in good hands as she continues to get better.

“Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody…I’ll be alright…might just take some time…glad I’ve got the best hubby in the world to take care of me,” she tweeted a couple days ago.

Thankfully enough, Underwood hasn’t announced any plans to tour or release new music by the end of the year. Fans can keep up with her progress via her social media channels.
