Carrie Underwood experienced a lot of firsts on Saturday night. It not only marked the first date of her Storyteller Tour, but she also told the crowd that her son, Isaiah, took his very first steps.

The proud mother she is, Underwood couldn’t help but tell the crowd how happy she was about the entire day.

“I didn’t think I could love anything more than being here on this stage. I was wrong, I was very wrong. I had a baby. He took his first steps today, on the first day of my tour, in Jacksonville. I don’t think today could get any better,” she told the Florida crowd.

The Storyteller tour is different from the typical set-stage concert. Fans get a full-circle view of Underwood, thanks to her stage in the round with stretched-out catwalks reaching the fans.

Another unique touch comes from the combined song-meets-story layout of the set list. Isaiah’s story was one out of 22 song/stories played that night and left a special mark in the heart of Underwood’s fans.

Underwood continues her Storyteller tour throughout the spring, hitting festivals and television performances along the way. Surely, baby Isaiah will be walking by his mama’s side the whole way.
