“Crying on a Suitcase” singer Casey James and his wife Kelli are getting ready to expand their brood after the singer/songwriter announced that they are expecting their second child with a post to Instagram. Sharing an adorable snap of their daughter ‘reading’ the informational book, What to Expect When Your Mommy’s Expecting, James announced the impending arrival with a caption and the hashtag ‘big sister.’

“Caught my daughter catching up on some interesting reading. #daughter #reading #bigsister,” he wrote, as the little girl rocked pigtails and adorable reading glasses.

James and his wife welcomed their first daughter back in February 2016 with a photo posted to Facebook. “The newest lady in my life. So thankful. So. Thankful,” he wrote with the snap of her sleeping on his chest.

The Texas native posted about the first pregnancy when he tweeted a photo of the ultrasound to singer Ben Rector and band Judah the Lion after seeing them live. “@benrector @TheRyman @judahandthelion Oh and by the way, it was this ones first concert. You got 5 out of 5 stars,” read the tweet.

No word on when the couple’s second baby is due.

Fans met Casey James on season nine of American Idol. The Texas native placed third on the show overall, and went on to sign with Sony Music’s Nashville’s Columbia imprint. His debut single, “Let’s Don’t Call It A Night,” dropped in 2011 and landed inside the Top 30 at Country radio. He later departed the record label after 2015’s “Fall Apart” failed to chart inside the Top 40. He recently released a new Kickstarter-funded project, Strip It Down, which features 14 original tracks.
