Cassadee Pope and Rian Dawson End Engagement
Cassadee Pope will sadly not take a walk down the aisle after she and her longtime fiancee Rian Dawson ended their five-month engagement.
Sadly, there will be no walk down the aisle for Cassadee Pope and her longtime boyfriend, Rian Dawson. The couple have ended their relationship after a long-term relationship and five-month engagement, shares a representative.
The couple’s rep confirmed to Nashville Gab that Pope and Dawson have “amicably ended their relationship, but remain friends, supportive of each others’ careers, and maintain the utmost respect for one another.”
Dawson popped the question back in February during a quiet day home.
“It was a Tuesday morning and I was still in my pj’s, so it was not expected, clearly. This is such a stupid story, but he was sweeping in the living room and our puppy, a little French bulldog, the love of our lives, was biting the broom. So I took Cuppy, which is his name, and took him in the bedroom and just kept him in there for a few minutes and Rian was like, ‘Ok, you can let him out!’ Then, I opened the door and he was on one knee,” Pope shared at the time.
The couple had been together for seven years before Dawson got down on one knee. They met when Pope and her band Hey Monday toured with Dawson’s band All Time Low.
