In May of 2016, news broke that a film based based on the Rascal Flatts multi-week No.1 “Bless The Broken Road” was in the works. Since then, news of the film has been minimal; until now, when news of the star-studded cast was revealed.

Starring in God Bless The Broken Road will be LaDainian Tomlinson, former NFL running back and NFL Network Analyst. Tomlinson will make his acting debut in the film starring as Pastor Williams, as he tries to help distressed mother Amber Hill (Lindsay Pulsipher) and disabled war veteran Mike Nelson (Arthur Cartwright).

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks will also star in the film alongside Kim Delaney (Army Wives, The O.C., Robin Givens (House of Payne, Head of the Class), Gary Grubbs (Will and Grace) and Madeline Carroll (Mr. Popper’s Penguins, The Spy Next Door).

Directed by Harold Cronk, the movie will follow the story of a young mother who loses her husband in Afghanistan and struggles to raise their daughter alone. It will combine faith, country music and stock car racing while also paying tribute to those who serve in the U.S. armed forces.

According to IMBD, God Bless The Broken Road is set for release on February 10, 2017.
