It’s a brand new year for Chase Rice as he’s moved on over to Broken Bow Records for his sophomore effort and he’s adding a new tour to his schedule come this fall.

Naming the next chapter of his career as “Lambs & Lions,” Rice recently signed with the new label for a second chance at finding his true-to-self sound after releasing his debut album, Ignite the Night. Sending that music out on the road for the fans to see how far Rice has come since his setbacks, an end of the year tour seemed like the perfect opportunity.

“New tour. New music. New shows coming to y’all in 2017 and 2018. #LambsandLions #LambsandLionsTour,” Rice wrote with a photo of the upcoming dates.

It wasn’t the easiest road for Rice to land in the spot he finds himself today. Throughout brutal comments and the uncertainty of his label home for long, Rice realizes how he’s hoping this time around brings respect and open ears to his authentic musical side.

“There will always be people saying, ‘You’re not country, you’re ruining country.’ And there were songs [on Ignite the Night] where I’m like, ‘You’re kind of right.’ I’m very proud of it, but I didn’t have a clue what I was doing on that record. I was just throwing a bunch of stuff on a wall and seeing what stuck. There is some stuff on there that is the same old shit and I’m tired of that. They’re finally going to see the me I want them to see,” Rice said in a recent interview.

Rice’s second album, Lambs and Lions, has not yet announced a release date at this time.
