Chris Janson Will Celebrate Love on Independence Day
Fireworks were definitely in the air for Janson and his wife, Kelly, when they wed a few years ago on the July 4 holiday.
While most Americans celebrate the 4th of July with freedom and pride in their hearts, Chris Janson honors the patriotic holiday for another reason: his wedding anniversary.
Fireworks were definitely in the air for Janson and his wife, Kelly, when they wed a few years ago on the Independence holiday. Making it a day to remember as Janson self-admits he’s not one to recall important dates, the couple pledged allegiance to each other as they tied the knot at his secluded cabin and commemorate their relationship by giving thanks to the freedoms that come with being American citizens.
“It’s my anniversary, so it’s a very special day for us. Obviously being probably the greatest achievement in human history, it’s just huge. I love being from this country, I love being a family man in this country, and I love having my kids raised here. I’m a proud American and I think that no matter what walk of life you come from I think we have great opportunities in this country, I love it very much. Take music and everything aside of it … I could go on all day. I love being an American,” Janson revealed to Sounds Like Nashville and other media at a recent event.
While Janson will mainly be on the road this summer, he does indeed get the July 4 night off just in time for him and his lovely lady to plan a date night out on the town or keep it simple with a family grill-out at home. Nevertheless, the couple gets to spend time with each other while being proud of the country they call home every day.
“I just think that, man, Fourth of July is awesome period. I mean, if you’re an American, dude, you’ve got to celebrate where you’re from. Everybody else celebrates where they’re from … If I’m an American, be damn proud of it. Shout it from the rooftops,” said Janson.
