When Chris Stapleton and Chris Pratt get together, who knows what trouble will follow quickly behind them in their ridiculous hijinks.

Pratt took over the hosting duties from Jimmy Kimmel on Monday’s episode (Dec. 4) of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, in which Stapleton planned to stop by for a performance a quick interview. Raising the stakes one higher, the Jurassic World actor dared himself and Stapleton to make a collaboration all their own by recreating a famous duet.

Leaving it up to fate, and a spin on ‘The Wheel of Cheesy Duets,’ the pair landed upon the legendary finale in Dirty Dancing where Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey bust out their vocal chops for a memorable performance. While Pratt mastered the low notes in Swayze’s repertoire, Stapleton brought out his raspy tone and high vibrato to the audience’s surprise on Grey’s original portion of the tune.

As the climax of the song approached, Stapleton jokingly suggested that they must complete the iconic lift known by every 80s movie lover to give their performance a real boost. Giving a couple spontaneous attempts a go, the third time ended up being a charm as Pratt somewhat got the country singer up and away with the help of a little green-screen television magic.

The two followed up the duet with a friendly chat on the couch, where they reminisced on what they dubbed to be ‘the greatest night of their lives’ when Pratt visited Nashville to see Stapleton play a show earlier this year. Both Stapleton and Pratt owned up to drinking themselves away with shot of Tennessee whiskey chasing one after the other, in which Pratt called it quits and Stapleton cleverly announced that he had won their makeshift drinking contest.

Stapleton also mentioned his highlights throughout 2017, from expecting twins with his wife and his three GRAMMY nominees for his music releases this year.
