Following the violent demonstrations and protests that occured in the heart of Charlottesville, a handful of artists are coming together to bring peace back into the streets with a free benefit concert held later this month.

Called ‘A Concert for Charlottesville,’ the star-studded lineup will feature some of the best in the music industry to celebrate unity and equality with the citizens who faced hardships after the horrific events in the college town. Chris Stapleton will represent country music along the loaded list of names at the free-for-all show, with his unique vocal stylings and guitar shredding skills.

Also locked in to take the stage at A Concert for Charlottesville includes Dave Matthews Band, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Ariana Grande, Cage the Elephant, The Roots, Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes and many more unannounced special guests.

Although the benefit is a free event for everyone to attend, the sponsors highly encourage the crowd to donate to the specialized Concert for Charlottesville Fund at the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation in order to give back to the victims and first responders who risked their lives during the tragedy.

Tickets will be given out in priority to the residents of the greater Charlottesville area and affiliated UVA individuals followed by those who submit themselves into the online ticket request system before Monday, September 11, at 12 p.m. EST. A few tickets will be available to pick up at the box office of the John Paul Jones Arena on Friday, September 15, at 10 a.m. EST as well.

The concert will be held on the University of Virginia campus at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia, on September 24.
