New music from Chris Stapleton has been long awaited by many fans, and this time, they’ll receive double the amount they’d hoped for.

During an event at RCA Studio A on Wednesday (4/5), Stapleton came with new music to share, as well as the surprise of a lifetime by announcing that he has two albums on the horizon. The first of the two, From A Room: Volume 1, is set to release this spring, and From A Room: Volume 2, will follow later on in the year.

Working with friends and Music Row colleagues on the project, the country star can’t wait to see listeners’ reactions to the music he’s been making proudly.

“I’m real proud of this record,” Stapleton said during an event at RCA in Nashville. “We made it right here in (RCA Studio A) like the last one. We camped out in here … and had a lot of fun recording things.”

From A Room: Volume 1 will feature a total of nine songs on the tracklist, including titles such as “Death Row,” “Without Your Love,” and many more. He’ll even bust out his best Willie Nelson rendition with a cover of “Last Thing I Needed First Thing This Morning” on the first record.

These albums mark the follow-ups to Stapleton’s massive success with his record, Traveller. Fans can look out for From A Room: Volume 1 to be released on May 5.
