It was April 15, 2018 – the night of the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards – when the show’s host Reba McEntire revealed to the world that Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane had welcomed twin boys into the world. After Sugarland named the country stars’ From A Room: Volume 1 the Album of the Year, McEntire took to the mic to announce that “those little rascals came a little bit early.”

Since then, the family of six has been adjusting to their new home life…meaning, they get a lot less sleep.

“Well, you know, it’s like a baby times two, so we sleep less than having one baby, but we’re doing great, they’re doing great and you know, it’s an amazing and wonderful thing,” Stapleton said with a chuckle before taking the stage at the 2018 CMA Music Festival.

The little ones join two older siblings, who are excited to have little babies in the house.

“They’re super helpful and kind and sweet to them, and I’m so proud of them,” beamed Stapleton. “They’re doing far better than I would have expected for the loss of attention that they have received in the last few months. So they’re remarkable individuals.”

Having extra set of helping hands will come in handy this summer as Stapleton continues on the music circuit for his headlining All-American Road Show Tour. The run of dates, which features special guests Marty Stuart and Brent Cobb, will last through November.
