Chris Young is ‘Hangin’ On’ to Every Word in New Single
Chris Young is sending the second single, "Hangin' On," from his No.1 album 'Losing Sleep' to country radio.
Chris Young is shooting for his 11th No.1 single with the release of “Hangin’ On” from his album Losing Sleep. After taking “Losing Sleep” to the top of the charts, the singer shows no signs of slowing down after announcing the latest track to hit the radio airwaves.
Joining the release of the track, the Tennessee native debuted the sunny music video for “Hangin’ On,” shot in Clearwater Beach, FL. As part of a partnership with Visit St. Pete/Clearwater Beach, the sun-filled shoot took place outside of the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach hotel where Young put on a beachside concert for the loving couple starring in the clip.
50 fans were selected as part of the partnership to appear in the video, along with the chance to meet the rising superstar. In addition to the video shoot, the lucky winners were treated to a private acoustic concert and two nights of accommodations at the Wyndham.
The song, co-written by Young, Corey Crowder and Josh Hoge, sings of the subject falling under the spell of their lover rather than alcohol and letting the whole world melt away around them. “Yeah, I’m hangin’ on, hangin’ on / To every word you say / Every move you make,” Young croons in the chorus.
“Hangin’ On” is the second single from Young’s No.1 album Losing Sleep. The project snagged the top spot on Billboard’s Top Country Albums with a total of 39,000 equivalent units sold in its first week run.
