Fourth of July is always filled with patriotic decorations, delicious food on the grill, and explosive fireworks. This year, for Chris Young, it consists of downtown Nashville’s huge Independence Day celebration. Young will be headlining the “Broadway Stage” for Nashville’s Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th.

The “Losing Sleep” singer was previously announced as a headliner to be joined by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, R&B artist Johnny P and folk-rock duo The Sisterhood, featuring Alyssa Bonagura and Ruby Stewart, the daughter of Rod Stewart. The performance was originally announced to take place near Riverfront Park, but the new configuration of the event has the new “Broadway Stage” located at Fifth and Broadway, right in the heart of downtown Nashville.

The city’s patriotic celebration will also include a National Anthem performance by Jason Eskridge and opening remarks from Mayor Megan Barry. Following Young’s set, the Nashville Symphony will be performing classic patriotic tunes at Ascend Amphitheater.

The event will conclude with the largest fireworks show in the country, featuring 35,000 pounds of explosives, which Nashville is hosting for the third consecutive year.

The festivities will be broadcast via audio and video feeds at several locations around the downtown area so that no one misses as second of the fun.

Nashville’s Fourth of July celebration is a free, family-friendly event. For more information, visit the event’s official website.
