Country music has a number of guitar-slinging men, but ladies? A rarity. That’s until Colorado farm girl Clare Dunn made her way to Music City to pursue a “far-fetched” dream.

“…To get to be living this life is a one in a billion chance and I’m just so thankful for it,” Dunn told Sounds Like Nashville. “I love where I’m from. I love how I grew up and to be able to have left and be able to be living this life now, it’s completely surreal and I’m just so grateful.”

The singer is currently touring the country, playing numerous festivals and fairs nationwide, and bringing her hit song “Tuxedo” to the masses.

“It’s just so awesome to see their response and I see their pictures and things on social media,” she shared. “I get so many snaps of moms, their babies riding in the car seat and they can barely talk but yet they can sing ‘tux, tux, tuxedo.’ And I’m like ‘yes! This is the most amazing thing ever!’ That’s a dream for me.”

The track is featured on her five-song self-titled EP and gives listeners a good look into her life on the farm and what she always pictured for herself.

“I’m from a real farm and ranch and I grew up working cattle and driving tractors and riding horses. That’s where the inspiration of ‘Tuxedo’ comes from. It came from my roots as a farm girl and just being a girl who dreams about finding Mr. Right.”
