It’s that time of the year yet again: CMA Country Christmas is coming to your television sets soon!

As some people start to hang the stockings and decorate the tree with embellishments, Nashville has formed its own tradition by hosting the CMA Country Christmas concert event where music stars near and far come to sing some yuletide carols.

Anyone from Kacey Musgraves to Brett Eldredge to a few special guest stars will shine as bright as the star on the top of a Christmas tree during the holiday television special hosted by none other than Jennifer Nettles.

Over the years, the show has grown more prominent in spectacle and in the hearts of many devoted country fans as they turn on the tube to catch their favorite artists sing a classic carol or two. Director Robert Deaton wanted the seventh year of the show to really exude all of the holiday magic one could ever imagine on the iconic Grand Ole Opry stage.

“The CMA Country Christmas show this year, we’re in our seventh year…the talent is insane,” he shared in a video clip.

Musgraves, one of the many talents that Deaton was speaking toward, thinks the celebration is just as whimsical as the sparkling feeling one has on Christmas morning.

“This is my first time being a part of the CMA Country Christmas and I’ve always thought it was this festive, wonderful production. And now I get to be a part of it,” she admitted, sneaking in a quick peek at her rendition of the Hawaiian Christmas staple, “Mele Kalikimaka.”

Many of the artists selected to join in on the holiday fun happened to release Christmas albums this past year and couldn’t wait to bring their takes on the tunes we all know and love to the historic venue.

“With this being the first year I’ve had a full Christmas album out, I wanted to be here. Wanted to be a part of this. Glad I got the invite,” said Chris Young, who released It Must Be Christmas recently.

Take a look at what more of your favorite artists had to say about their CMA Country Christmas experience in the video above and be sure to tune into the big show on Monday, November 28, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
