‘CMA Country Christmas’ To Tape At Grand Ole Opry

Little Big Town CMA Country Christmas

Country music fans — it’s time to start getting into the holiday spirit! The Country Music Association just revealed that CMA Country Christmas will tape in front of a live audience on Saturday, Nov. 7 (6:00 PM/CT; doors open at 5:00 PM/CT).

CMA Country Christmas will take place at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, unlike year’s past when it taped at Bridgestone Arena.

“The special will tape on a new day and in a new venue this year,” said Sarah Trahern, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “The Opry was the home of the CMA Awards for many years and it is nice to be back. And taping the show on Saturday is more convenient for Nashville families who have made this part of their holiday traditions.”

The CMA will partner with ABC Television Network and the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program. The CMA’s toy drive has collected more than 5,000 unwrapped gifts for deserving children in the area. “Providing new toys for deserving children shines a spotlight on a worthy endeavor and reflects the values and spirit of giving found in our artists, industry, and city,” Trahern said.

CMA Country Christmas will tape three days after the 49th Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. The show’s host and air date have not yet been revealed.
