On Friday (April 8), Swindell debuted “Flatliner,” an uptempo rocker that features the vocals of Country superstar Dierks Bentley. Listen below.
The song is one that he actually wrote for Bentley a few years ago.
“I wrote it for him, sent it to him, and never heard from him,” Swindell revealed in a recent interview with Country Countdown USA. “I don’t know if he heard it or didn’t like it, but a year or so ago, I was texting with him, and sent it to him, and he loved it.”
The result became Swindell’s very first duet. “We talked about it for a while, and sure enough, we got to do it, and it’s gonna be awesome. I’m just very excited to be singing with Dierks.”
Fans who pre-order You Should Be Here on iTunes will receive a new song each week through the album’s release.
