While Cole Swindell may be selling out shows and reeling in No. 1 singles like it’s no big thing, he still wants to accomplish a number of goals in his personal life – like settling down and starting a family.

The country singer enjoys his time in the limelight and works hard for the success he’s garnered throughout his career, but Swindell realizes he wants to do more outside of the studio. As someone who stays close to his family despite months out on the road, he sees himself moving toward a future with a significant other and possibly a couple of kids.

“At this point, I’ve spent so much time chasing this dream. I’ve put a lot of real-life things on hold. You see your buddies settling down and knowing I have all these accomplishments, but what do I have outside of that? It’s something I think of, and I obviously want that. I’d love to settle down. I just want it to be right. I’ve always wanted to be able to support somebody. Now I think I can start looking to do that,” Swindell admitted to Sounds Like Nashville and other media at a recent event.

Taking cues from his friend and tour mate, Dierks Bentley, Swindell saw the unconditional love that Bentley expresses toward his family life and it made Swindell crave that same excitement. Although it may not be happening in the very near future, the “You Should Be Here” singer may be on the search for that special someone to spend the rest of his life with sooner rather than later.

“I’m loving doing what I love. I’ve never had anybody who stopped me from doing that, so now I have to find somebody who enjoys it with me. I could see myself settling down and being a family guy someday for sure,” said Swindell.

Swindell’s next send-off to country radio is “Stay Downtown,” the fourth single off his album, You Should Be Here.
