Country Stars Attend MusiCares Person Of The Year Event Honoring Bruce Springsteen

Country stars were on hand at the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year gala honoring MusiCares Person of the Year Bruce Springsteen on Friday in Los Angeles. Kenny Chesney, Emmylou Harris, Faith Hill, Natalie Maines (of the Dixie Chicks), Tim McGraw and Zac Brown (of the Zac Brown Band) were among the artists who performed at the tribute concert. GRAMMY Nominee Hunter Hayes was also in attendance.

Chesney performed an acoustic version of “One Step Up,” which Rolling Stone called “one of the night’s best, most unexpected performances.” McGraw and Hill came together on “Tougher Than The Rest,” while Harris performed “Your Hometown.” Zac Brown delivered a memorable performance of “My City of Ruins.”According to Rolling Stone’s review of the evening, Maines and Ben Harper’s duet on “”Atlantic City” was less than stellar.

The tribute, which is one of the many events held annually during GRAMMY week, also featured dinner and a celebrity auction that benefited MusiCares’ charity efforts.
