Country Stars Share Thoughts & Prayers For Joey + Rory In Emotional Video Tribute

Several of Country music’s biggest stars have come together to pay tribute to Joey + Rory.

Dolly Parton, Reba, Sara Evans, and Brooks & Dunn are are among the artists who created video messages for a special 14+ minute tribute to the duo that was recently posted to YouTube.

“I’m sorry you are not feeling good,” Parton shares in the opening video. “I’ve loved you for years. I know you have often done my songs and I have heard you are a big fan. But we have something in common. We both believe in a higher power and we believe that through God, all things are possible. Keep praying and I will keep praying for you.”

Evans echoed Parton’s sentiments saying, “I want you to know that I’ve been praying for you for the last two weeks non-stop. I really just love you guys, and Joey, you are still in my prayers. You are a precious, precious woman. I just want to say God bless you.”

As her husband Rory revealed yesterday, Joey’s cancer has now left her bedridden. He detailed her final steps and recalled their last dance in a recent blog post.

“I took her in my arms in the living room and once more put her hand in mine and we danced,” he wrote. “She steadied with her cane and I softly moved her across the room singing George Strait’s ‘You Look So Good In Love’ in her ear.  In the middle of the song though, as I was being careful not to step on her toes – she stopped and looked up at me and said, ‘How about if I lead?’  And I followed her lead as we slowly two-stepped on her mama’s living room floor.”
