Lauren Alaina, Dan + Shay and More Surprise Random Lyft Users During CMA Fest

It’s not every day that a famous country singer shows up in the backseat of your rideshare in downtown Nashville.

Cracker Barrel teamed up with Lyft to make fans’ dreams come true during the 2017 CMA Music Festival as some of the biggest artists buckled up for the ‘Joyride’ of a lifetime. Hiding behind silly disguises and odd props, people like Hunter Hayes, Granger Smith and Dan + Shay all shocked some country music supporters by taking a trip with them around the heart of Music City.

While some of the riders suspected something was up, others were completely oblivious to the car prank as the artists put on different disguises to throw off the scent of their true identities. Dan + Shay both played with sneaky costumes like mustaches and headscarves while Hayes opted for a more nonchalant trick of holding a newspaper up over his face.

Even Lauren Alaina got in on the fun with a Northern accent and a redheaded wig to pretend to be a regular passenger up in the front seat. When her true self was revealed, screams and hysteria immediately ensued, leaving Alaina thrilled to hang out with some of her supporters.

In the end though, the fans all got to have a special meet and greet like none other after their priceless reactions upon figuring out that they just drove around with people they admire in country music.

Throughout CMA Fest, Cracker Barrel was represented all across town by putting up their famous rocking chairs for comfy spots to take a break during the madness. Helping bring together fans and artists was just icing on the cake for all of those lucky enough to score some time with the country music stars.
