As a veteran of the United States Army, Craig Morgan has long dedicated his life to keeping his country safe and well. Long after his retirement from the force and well into his musical career, the Tennessee native has maintained that dedication and strives to help out whenever he can.

Enter U.S. Army SSG Justin Raymer.

On Nov. 19 at the Wagon Wheel Theatre in Warsaw, IN, Raymer thought that he and his family would simply be attendees at Morgan’s American Stories concert. His father Mike, Assistant Fire Chief for the Winona Lake Fire Department, had told his son that the country star was looking for veterans to attend the concert. However, during his third song, Morgan invited Justin and his wife Kaci onstage for a special surprise… a mortgage-free home.

“I have been gone for 15 years,” Raymer said. “It means a lot to finally come home and bring our entire family together.”

In addition to the assistance of Morgan, Operation FINALLY Home, R.W. Kidd and the Builders and the Builders Association of Kosciusko Fulton Counties teamed up to help build the Raymers their new home.

“We are so grateful for this unique opportunity to honor and give back to U.S. Army SSG Raymer and his family and we look forward to welcoming them home next September,” said Trisha Steger, Executive Officer, Builders Association of Kosciusko Fulton Counties.

Operation FINALLY HOME Executive Director Rusty Carroll added, “We are so honored to partner with R.W. Kidd and the Builders Association of Kosciusko Fulton Counties to bring Justin and his family ‘home’ to Warsaw. “Justin and Kaci want to raise their children near family and we are blessed to be able to make that dream come true for this deserving veteran.”

After his 13 years in the service and with the help of the teams coming together, Justin, his wife and their four children will finally be able to move from Georgia to back to Justin’s hometown in order to be closer to his family once again.
