Dan + Shay were performing at their concert in West Palm Beach, FL over the weekend when a couple appeared on stage as they played their new hit single, “From the Ground Up.” The picture posted to the band’s Instagram feed shows the couple in two chairs facing each other, with the girl looking like she’s happily shocked over the whole occasion. Dan + Shay also seemed pretty excited about the surprise as well.
“This on-stage proposal during #FromtheGroundUp = everything,” they wrote, featuring a diamond ring emoji to celebrate the moment.
Their new song, “From the Ground Up,” has quickly become quite the popular love song for the summer as this couple among others have used it for their big romantic gestures. Not only did this newly engaged pair use the song, but Dan + Shay’s Twitter feed documents a few other videos and messages about people using their hit single as their first dance song. How sweet!
Dan + Shay are currently in the middle of touring with Darius Rucker for the Good for a Good Time Tour and will stop by CMA Fest to play the Radio Disney Country Stage. Their new album, Obsessed, came out on June 3.
