Dan Smyers and Fiancée Dish Wedding Details
The soon-to-be newlyweds open up about where they'll tie the knot, who will stand by their side in the wedding party, and more.
Dan + Shay’s Dan Smyers has a lot on his plate this year: a headlining tour, promoting the duo’s singles, and planning a massive wedding.
The singer popped the question to his now-fiancée, Abby Law, back in November during a trip to Hawaii. While the couple could choose practically anywhere in the world to tie the knot, they plan to set their nuptials where it all began back in the heart of Music City.
“It’ll be awesome to have all of our friends and family together in Nashville — a lot of them have never been here. We built our love story in Nashville and it’ll be cool to get everybody there to see where it all began for us,” Smyers recently told People Magazine.
Although they’re keeping mum about who will attend the grand soiree, they’ve already picked out a few members of the bridal party: their rescue pups.
“They are the most important bridesmaid and groomsman,” Smyers said as Lee joked, “I’ve ordered a tux and a dress for them — so they will be dressed up!”
They also spilled that due to their vegan lifestyle, they want to have the wedding represent the health choices they make through the menu and show their true personalities throughout every minor detail creating the fairytale day.
Claiming that they already feel like a typical married couple after being together for more than three years, Lee and Smyers created a charitable gift list to give back to those who may not have had the opportunity make a great life like they’ve done over time in their relationship.
“We’ve included a fundraiser for Proverbs in our registry,” Law revealed in the interview. “We’ve built a life together over the past few years and didn’t really need a lot of stuff, so we included it if someone wants to donate.”
