Darius Rucker is Ready to Have a ‘Good Time’
Rucker’s “Good for a Good Time” tour kicks off on June 3 in Florida and he’s bringing his buddies, Dan + Shay and Michael Ray, along the way.
Summer is coming and for Darius Rucker, that means a tour is on its way.
Rucker’s “Good for a Good Time Tour” kicks off on June 3 in Florida and he’s bringing his buddies, Dan + Shay and Michael Ray, along the way. Spreading the good vibes with a fantastic lineup in tow, Rucker hopes the crowds are anticipating a fun show from start to finish.
“When you do tours, the opening acts are so important ‘cause you want to put guys in the seats, but you also want to entertain your fans, you know the people who are there to see you,” said Rucker in a press release.
Picking the right artists to head across the country together is also a strategic decision of sorts for Rucker because he enjoys mixing work with friendship.
“One of the prerequisites is I gotta have guys that I can hang out with and go sit down and have dinner with and maybe play a round of golf with or drink a beer with after the show and before the show,” said Rucker. “So, those guys fit all that perfectly.”
The “Good for a Good Time Tour” will last throughout the summer, reaching until its final date on September 11. Just like his Southern Style Tour, Rucker will be giving away homes to veterans and their families at certain stops. In total, Rucker has provided 14 homes in the past year.
