Dega Jam Country Music Festival Canceled

Dega Jam, a three-day Country music festival set to take place at the Talladega Superspeedway this summer, has been canceled. Eric Church, Toby Keith, and Blake Shelton had originally signed on to headline the event, which was scheduled for 4th of July weekend.

Festival organizers delivered the news of the event’s cancellation to fans via Facebook. “We regret to announce that despite the tremendous enthusiasm many have expressed about the Dega Jam festival, set for this 4th of July weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, the event has been cancelled,” the message read. “We sincerely apologize to everyone impacted by this difficult decision—fans, artists, industry partners, corporate partners, and everyone at Talladega Superspeedway.”

Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr., Kip Moore, Billy Currington, Gary Allan, and Tyler Farr were also slated to perform at the event.

The Dega Jam cancellation comes after the cancellations of two other major Country music festivals – the Big Barrel Country Music Festival in Delaware and New York City’s FarmBorough Festival
