Delta Rae just gained one new member with the band’s Ian Hölljes welcoming a baby boy into the world with his wife, Rebecca.

The little bundle of joy came into their lives in the afternoon on Friday, October 6. Hölljes is the first member in the country music group to have a child and the Hölljes family couldn’t be more thrilled to expand their family by one.

“We are so happy to announce the birth of our first son and the first ‘Delta Bae.’ Leo Richman Hölljes was born on Oct. 6, 2017, at 4:01 a.m. and weighed in at 7lbs 10oz. He was born under a full moon at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina, with many members of the Hölljes and Friedman family awaiting his arrival,” Hölljes said to Entertainment Tonight.

As a musician, Hölljes couldn’t help but sing when Leo was born and decided to honor the big occasion with a rendition of Ray LaMontagne’s “You Are the Best Thing.” Hölljes also stood strong for his wife as she went through labor and said that everything went just fine during the delivery process.

“His mom, Rebecca, was a total hero throughout the pregnancy and delivery, and she is healthy and recovering well. We love our little Leo and know he was born to live a long and happy life,” he gushed.

Hölljes and his wife met back in their college days at Duke University in North Carolina and later wed in Miami, Florida, in February of 2014. This is the first child for the couple.

Congratulations to the Hölljes family and their precious little boy, Leo.
