A couple months after the devastating passing of Dierks Bentley’s beloved dog and best friend, Jake, the Bentley family has decided to add another member to the bunch by adopting a brand new pup.

Posted as a short video clip to his Twitter feed, Bentley’s wife and kids are seen leaving the Nashville Humane Society with his oldest daughter, Evie, toting a cute little canine out the door. The country singer then goes on to comment saying that while the process of adopting was quick and easy, they only have one tiny complication.

“In and out in about 10 minutes. We got a dog. We don’t have a name yet. We got a dog,” he said, with his daughter singing her own song about the pup merrily.

Extending the name suggestion box out to the fans, Bentley tweeted a message along with the clip asking for help on the perfect name for their new man’s best friend.

“Our other dog George has been so lonesome since Jake left us… thanks @nashvillehumane @HumaneSociety. Need a name,” he wrote to his followers.

Bentley and Co. adopted the pup just before he returns back to life on the road for his tour, which runs until the end of October. Then Bentley will come back home to Nashville for the 50th Annual CMA Awards as he has nominations in four categories, and be able to come visit his new family member.
