After ten wildly successful years, Dierks Bentley has decided to take a break from his Miles & Music for Kids benefit concert. The news came in a Facebook post from Bentley himself.

hey y’all

wanted to write and let you guys know that we’ve decided after 10 amazing years of “miles & music for kids,” to take a break. i feel so incredible about what we’ve been able to accomplish together. 4 million dollars for children’s hospitals…crazy! couldn’t have done it without y’all, all my artist friends, the bikers and the nashville community that i’m so lucky to call home. i’m thinking and dreaming about what we might do next and how we can all keep making a difference together. stay tuned and i’ll see you on the road….love ya! Db

The 10th anniversary of the event was marked with a sold-out show in Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater. All proceeds benefited the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.

“I thought we would have a good turnout, but to sell out Ascend in minutes is crazy! It really speaks to the passion that country fans have for causes that are important to their community. I feel honored that ‘Miles & Music’ is one of them,” Bentley said last year. “Every year, the biker community has also been there for us, helping raise money for these kids…they are definitely some of the most giving people out there.

The event, which typically falls just before the CMA Awards, would have celebrated its 11th year this fall.
