Dierks Bentley is keeping up on his momentum from his third No. 1 by releasing a fourth single called “What the Hell Did I Say” off of his last album to country radio.

After revealing his sexier side on his most recent top hit, “Black,” Bentley decided to honor the summer spirit and his party mentality by bringing out “What the Hell Did I Say” as the next track to hit the airwaves. Just in time for all the crazy shenanigans to slide into full swing during the hottest season of the year, the song always struck a chord with Bentley and he decided to use his gut instinct to determine its destiny for country radio.

“That’s one of the first songs I heard when I was going to make this record. Whenever you leave one project behind and moving on to the next one, I’m always looking for a song or idea or sound or theme that’s gonna kinda make me excited to work on the next project. I heard that song and I wasn’t really sure how to fit it in to anything really, but I just told…I just love this song, it’s so good, man! So it was one of the first songs I heard. ‘Black’ was really the song that really became the cornerstone of the album and the idea, but that song always stuck around and made it,” Bentley told Sounds Like Nashville and other media about the selection of the single.

“What the Hell Did I Say” follows its Black predecessors, including No. 1s such as “Somewhere on a Beach,” “Different for Girls” and most recently the title track, “Black.” It also just so happens to be the inspiration behind the tour title that Bentley is coasting through for the next few months ahead.

Currently, Bentley is out on the road with Jon Pardi and Cole Swindell for the What the Hell Tour. Fans can find more information regarding the tour on Bentley’s website.
