Dierks Bentley Debuts ‘Somewhere on a Beach’ on ‘Ellen’

Dierks Bentley is a busy, busy man as of late!

Along with announcing a brand new album, he’s also announced his 2016 tour and released a brand new single to country radio. The song, “Somewhere on a Beach,” is the lead single from Bentley’s forthcoming new album, BLACK, is told from the perspective of a heartbroken guy who jets to the beach following a bad breakup, but turns it around by meeting a new lady and partying his nights away.

Today, the Arizona native made his way to The Ellen Degeneres Show for the debut performance of the new song and give a fan in the audience a trip to ‘somewhere on a beach.’

“Well, somewhere on a beach, we got a big festival coming up soon here in Florida. It’s on a beach. I have a song called ‘Somewhere on a Beach,’ and I’m friends with some folks that work at a company called Beach Craft,” he explained after performing. “I thought it’d be really cool to fly a fan and five of her friends, private, in a plane to our show somewhere on a beach in Florida. So, I’m a pilot, I love planes and I love flying. I thought it’d be so fun to share aviation with someone, one of my fans out there. You get to fly in a private plane to the beach.”

Bentley’s Somewhere on a Beach Tour, kicking off May 12 in Holmdel, N.J. The Grammy nominee will be joined by Randy Houser and Cam.
