Dierks Bentley Dishes On Fishing Trip with Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan
The internet went crazy last week when Dierks Bentley shared of photo of himself fishing with fellow country superstars Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean.
The “Riser” singer is now opening up about the star-studded fishing trip, telling ABC Radio that Luke organized the fishing trip after catching wind that all three of them just so happened to be in Florida at the same time.
“It was fun,” Bentley tells ABC Radio. “We went down there and hit a little spot and caught our limit of red snapper and grouper and just had a good time hanging out.”
He didn’t realize how well fans would react to the photo though (It was shared on Facebook more than 5,800 times and racked in more than 25,000 likes on Instagram). “I put a picture on all the social stuff, and I think the fans kinda dug seeing the three of us hanging out.”
Bentley says the fishing adventure was a nice change of pace for all three singers, who are touring heavily throughout the summer. “[It’s] good to hang out with your guys you normally don’t see unless you’re on the road or an awards show.”
As for who reeled in the biggest catch of the day, that honor goes to Luke’s son, Bo, who caught a 21-pound red snapper.
“[Bo] might take home the trophy,” Dierks laughs. “He’s like seven years old, and he was killing it out there.”
