Typically, Dierks Bentley performs to the masses during Fourth of July. But this year, he decided to call in a personal day to celebrate the summer holiday with his family.

Taking a break from the action on stage to enjoy the bright spark of a fireworks show and homemade barbecue, Bentley plans to spend quality time with his family back home in Music City before heading back out on the What the Hell World Tour. Making sure to go down the mundane path for the day, Bentley seems thrilled to have a moment to relax and celebrate the nation’s patriotic freedom.

“You know what, the last couple of years I’ve taken the Fourth off to just watch some fireworks. It’s a tough one to miss. There’s great gigs too. I played one on the steps of the Capitol one time, which was pretty inspiring. I’ll be off, I’ll probably be here and watch some Nashville fireworks. The more boring and normal, the better for me. That’s the stuff I live for, just doing regular old stuff. I gotta find a good spot to watch,” Bentley told Sounds Like Nashville and other media at his No. 1 party.

If Bentley decides to get really daring, he could always go check out Chris Young’s set in downtown Nashville where he’ll be performing his hits at the “Broadway Stage,” set up at 5th & Broadway. Nevertheless, the “Black” singer could always just enjoy a show of his own by throwing a backyard fireworks fiesta with his closest friends and family.

His latest single to hit country radio, “What the Hell Did I Say,” is available to stream and download now.
