Drake White took his guitar to the great outdoors for a special campfire performance of his single, “Livin’ the Dream,” on Good Morning America Thursday.

In honor of 100 years of national parks, White met up with Jesse Palmer in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for a GMA Wake Up Call like no other. The guys spent the night in the woods, tucked away in their tree tents during what they admitted was a huge thunderstorm. But not even a little rain could scare White away as he posted the live video feed to his Facebook page with the hashtag #getoutside.

Sitting cozy around the fire, White busted out his acoustic guitar for a little wildlife rendition of his latest hit. While it ain’t no stage, he didn’t let his surroundings get to his performance but rather thrived off the serenity as he sang.

The country singer was raised in Alabama and now lives in Nashville, so he knows a bit or two about outdoor living. White likes to spend his spare time exploring nature and relaxing with some fishing.

White will be on the road for the Black Out the Sun Tour with Zac Brown Band throughout the summer, which he teamed up with Ford to lend a helping hand to a few communities along the way.

He will stop off in Nashville to play the Park Stage at CMA Music Festival in June.
