Drake White has officially stomped his way into homes everywhere with his national television debut on the TODAY Show this morning (4/18).

The singer brought along his wife, parents and in-laws for the performance of his latest single, “Livin’ The Dream,” with his band The Big Fire.

“I have always loved the Today Show’s great spirit while watching it from home over the years,” said White. “I can’t wait for the band and I to come in and experience the unbelievable opportunity it is to play there and make new friends.”

“Livin’ The Dream” is one that White was originally drawn to for its rhythm.

“What really stood out to me was kinda the groove of it,” White told Sounds Like Nashville. “I’m more of a throwback model of a traditional type guy. I wouldn’t call it traditional, there’s just this soulful thing that I just really gravitate towards and this song had a really cool thing in the beat of it. It just starts out kinda lazy and it’s about that groove and establishing that groove. That kinda stood out to me.”

White will be taking the track, along with his former single, “It Feels Good,” out on the road this summer as part of Zac Brown Band’s 2016 Black Out The Sun Tour, kicking off May 19 in Hartford, CT at the XFINITY Theatre.
