Dustin Lynch wrapped the Kill the Lights Tour with Luke Bryan this weekend and the singer shows no signs of slowing down as he’s about to join Chris Young on his I’m Comin’ Over Tour.

While at the 2016 SESAC Awards Sunday evening (Oct. 30) at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the “Seein’ Red” singer said that he’s been co-writing with his touring friends while on the road and hopes a collaboration with Bryan will be heard sometime in the near future.

“I got to write a few with Luke, both are great songs,” Lynch said on the SESAC Red Carpet where “Hell of a Night” songwriter Jaron Boyer was being honored. “I don’t know if they’ll make the album. I would love to have a song with Luke singing on it. That’s a goal of mine for this next year but we’ll see what happens. Fingers crossed it will happen.”

Lynch is hard at work on his third studio album, the follow up to 2014’s Where It’s At. He recently released the lead single to the album, a sultry beat driven track called “Seein’ Red” that details how a girl has him seeing stars with her red hot kisses, and says he already has some co-writes lined up with his future tourmate, Chris Young.

“[2015 SESAC Songwriter of the Year] Cary Barlowe is going to come out and Corey Crowder who producers Chris as well next week,” Lynch says of his forthcoming co-writes with Young. “It’s in the works. We’ll see how it goes.”
Young is nominated for CMA Musical Event of the Year for his No. 1 duet with Cassadee Pope, “Think of You.” So, we asked Lynch if he had any plans for a duet of his own on his forthcoming album.

“Absolutely there is,” he tells Sounds Like Nashville. “I don’t have anything set in stone yet, but I would love to do a duet. I have not done one yet. It’s the third album I’m working on so it’s time if the combo is right, if the song fits, if we find the right song. I don’t want to force it. I would absolutely love to do a duet one of these days.”
