"She'll yell at us if we're not singing and participating, so it's a blast," laughed Lynch.

Dustin Lynch spends much of his year out on the road, performing his biggest hits for excited fans everywhere, so when he returns home, it’s no surprise that he chooses to take it easy and rest his voice. While he hopes to kick back and relax during the holidays, Lynch admits that his grandmother has different plans.

“So my grandma, she plays piano at church. Playing one song turned into now it’s a program. It’s a family program now,” Lynch shared with Sounds Like Nashville and other media recently. “My grandad, he’s a preacher, does the sermon, and then she gets on the piano, bosses us around, and makes us sing. She’ll yell at us if we’re not singing and participating, so it’s a blast. I’ve got to be honest, the two weeks I have off the road, I don’t want to sing. I kind of stand in the back and let everybody take the reins on that.”

Lynch will spend some quality time off the road with his family before embarking on a busy 2018. While also taking a vacation to Vietnam after the first of the year, Lynch will continue his time on Brad Paisley’s Weekend Warrior Tour extension and perform during Luke Bryan’s annual Crash My Playa event.

“This year I had plans to go to Vietnam because my buddy that lived in the Philippines got transferred to Vietnam for work, so it made sense. Mr. Paisley decided he wanted to start touring a lot earlier than expected, so that trip got moved earlier. I’ve no idea what to expect other than to pack a bathing suit and get ready for a sun tan. That’ll be my way to stretch for Crash My Playa, get a good base tan for Mexico,” he admitted with a laugh.

Fans can catch Lynch in Riviera Maya, Mexico from January 17-20, 2018 for Crash My Playa, before he hits the road with Paisley beginning January 25 in Los Angeles.
