Dierks Bentley got to live out a dream of his as he not only played at the Bridgestone Arena in his adopted hometown of Nashville, but sold out the entire venue for his 2017 What the Hell Tour date in Music City.

While Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi made a fine showing of their opening sets before Bentley came to the stage, it was a moment with Elle King that really got fans going. The singers, who have become fast friends since the making of their duet, “Different for Girls,” sang the hit single with the audience joining in for a true sing-a-long.

Instead of just letting that moment be the last between Bentley and King for the night, the country singer invited her to perform a live rendition of her mega-hit, “Exes and Ohs,” to the Nashville crowd. King found herself forever grateful for the moment and showed Bentley some love online with an emotional post, thanking him for his kindness and friendship.

“Everyone knew there was something special about tonight. Not just because you sold out the Bridgestone Arena… but because there was a full arena full of people there to scream, sing along, and cheer you on. To step back and think about the kind of person who not only invites a friend up to sing their duet at their sold out arena show, but in the middle of the set let’s them sing their OWN song is something that is beyond my comprehension. To say that you are someone I aspire to be is an understatement. The respect I have for you is not something I can put into words, but the love…that’s measured in the trillions. Thank you for not only giving me a glimpse into my dream world…but letting me live in it. I wouldn’t want to be a part of country without you. I love you from the deepest parts of my heart and soul dear friend, I am so unbelievably proud of you,” she sweetly wrote.

King and Bentley have become the best of pals throughout the past few months, hanging out and making jokes during interviews or on stage performing.

Bentley is currently on the road for the next few months for his 2017 What the Hell Tour. Fans can find more information about the tour on his website.
